Job Description
The Technical Program Director is responsible for leading and delivering large-scale, complex technical programs and projects that align with Songtradr’s business objectives. The role combines strategy, engineering and execution, from concept through delivery, while ensuring alignment across teams, budget, timelines and stakeholders.
In this role, you will establish the initial framework for Program Management at Songtradr, moving us from ad-hoc coordination to predictable delivery, provide program and project governance and project management, drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment, visibility and scalability across critical projects. You will proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies and blockers to enable consistent execution of initiatives spanning multiple teams, systems and business units.
Main Job Duties
Program & Project Management
Orchestrate the end-to-end delivery of mission-critical technical programs, lead the delivery of complex, multi-workstream programs and projects across engineering, product, operations and other business teams
Establish program structure, governance, milestones, dependencies and timeline
Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and on budget
Collaborate effectively with leadership to prioritize, manage resources effectively and inform on status, risk and opportunities
Define and track program KPIs and delivery metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the central point of coordination across engineering, product and other company functions
Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering Leads to review and validate solution designs, ensuring long-term scalability and alignment with platform strategy
Drive alignment and decision-making across high-performing teams with competing priorities
Communicate program status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to leadership and other stakeholders
Risk, Dependency & Change Management
Identify and proactively manage risks, issues and cross-program dependencies
Drive resolution of blockers and escalate when needed
Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption of delivered solutions
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Implement best practices for program/project management, reporting and cross-functional execution
Continuously improve processes, tooling and delivery maturity across the company
Desired Skills & Experience
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
PMP, PgMP, SAFe or similar certifications a plus
10+ years of experience in program management, project management or related technical leadership roles
Proven experience leading large-scale, complex technical programs in a cross-functional environment
Strong technical acumen, ideally with experience in engineering or IT
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, systems architecture and technical delivery
Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery models
Self-starter with a track record of independently driving initiatives to completion
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities in a dynamic business environment
