Technical Product Owner - Construct Platform

Terabase Energy is a well-funded scale-up headquartered in Berkeley, California, with several other offices around the world, with the most recent one being launched in Paris.

Our Paris office hosts our core R&D team in charge of the development of our flagship product, Construct, a B2B SaaS construction management and quality control platform designed from the ground up for utility-scale solar projects. By combining GIS, AI/ML, IoT, and mobile technologies, the solution drives major improvements in safety, quality, cost, and schedule for the solar industry. Construct has supported more than 16+ GW of projects from leading owners and EPCs.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to drive platform delivery across Construct. Operating at the intersection of Product and Engineering, this role provides focus, clarity, and prioritization for all platform development work. The Product Owner ensures that core services, integrations, and infrastructure improvements are well-defined, validated, and released with high reliability. This position reports to the Director of Product Management, Construct Platform, and is part of the broader Product organization.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Technical Ownership

• Own the Construct platform backlog across AI/ML services, data pipelines, integrations, and core infrastructure, balancing new development against refactoring and reduction of technical debt.

• Align platform priorities with overall product strategy and milestones in partnership with the Product organization.

• Translate product and business goals into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.

• Write precise user stories and acceptance criteria for platform and technical features.

• Partner with Engineering to plan refactors, infrastructure improvements, and modernization efforts that improve maintainability and resilience.

• Collaborate with Engineering and QA to confirm release readiness and drive acceptance testing to validate functionality and completeness before deployment.

Communication & Alignment

• Synthesize complex technical concepts into concise, actionable narratives for cross-functional audiences.

• Foster clear communication and alignment across distributed teams to support predictable, high-quality outcomes.

• Communicate progress, risks, and results clearly to technical and product leadership.

• Track delivery progress to help keep priorities realistic and execution on schedule.

• Ensure documentation and release notes accurately reflect the current system state and capabilities.

Cross-Team Coordination

• Collaborate daily with Engineering Group Leads across Platform & Applications, AI/ML, and Mobile to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

• Partner with design and data teams when needed to validate technical feasibility.

• Identify cross-team dependencies early and coordinate with engineering leads to manage delivery risks.

• Anticipate technical risks and work with engineering leads to define and track mitigation plans.

• Contribute to planning and coordination of releases spanning platform and application layers.

• The Product and Engineering organizations view this role as a trusted point of alignment for platform clarity, prioritization, and delivery discipline.

• Technical requirements and acceptance criteria are consistently clear and actionable, enabling predictable engineering execution.

• Features, services, and integrations are delivered on schedule, with high reliability and minimal rework.

• Cross-team collaboration is efficient and transparent, with clear ownership and reduced delivery friction.

• Dependencies across Platform, AI/ML, and Mobile are surfaced and managed proactively, preventing delays and integration gaps.

• The Construct platform backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business and technical objectives.

• System health, reliability, and performance metrics show measurable improvement, supporting stable operations and faster iteration.

• Documentation and release notes accurately reflect system state and changes, improving visibility for internal and cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Product Manager in a B2B SaaS or platform environment.

• Strong delivery execution skills and a proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-team technical workstreams within an Agile environment.

• Deep familiarity with Agile delivery practices and the ability to drive clarity, prioritization, and measurable outcomes within that framework.

• Excellent communication skills in French and English — structured, clear, and able to bridge technical and product discussions.

• Technical fluency in APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and cloud infrastructure concepts.

• Demonstrated experience identifying and managing cross-team dependencies in fast-moving engineering environments.

• Proficiency with modern product delivery tools such as Linear, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Notion, or equivalents.

• Experience with IoT, drones, robotics, or AI infrastructure is highly valued.

• Familiarity with the solar or energy industry is a plus.
