We are an official Palantir Partner and the sole Palantir Training & Assessment Partner.
We are seeking a senior full-time instructor to deliver live, recorded, and written content.
Benefits
• In-person in a NOVA/DC/MD office at least 3d/wk
• $200k-240k salary depending on experience + profit sharing
• Health/Dental/Vision
• 401(k) matching
• Ample PTO
• Target start date: mid-April
Work Summary
• Creating and recording live content for YouTube and internal video offerings. We will rent and furnish a dedicated studio space for you to record professional quality tutorials.
• Building and enhancing existing technical Foundry curriculum.
• Delivering in-person and virtual live, multi-day Foundry trainings
Nature of the Company
• Work intensely when you’re at work; don’t work when you’re not at work
• Turn Slack and email notifications off
• Take pride in your work
• Direct, candid, and respectful feedback
• We flex on scope, not deadlines à la Shape Up and other writing from 37Signals/Basecamp
• We have small offices in California, Oklahoma, and New York (you will be the first person in a DC office)
Experience
• Requirements:
• You must love teaching! If you're on the fence about teaching, read no further.
• Strong technical skills: Python, TS/JS, using LLMs in data pipelines and applications, Spark, containerization, unit and integration testing, observability & monitoring
• In other words, at many companies you would fit in as a developer
• Be one of the following:
• Former Palantir FDE or technical data strategist (we're looking for a "Delta" or a very strong "Techo")
• Foundry user with 3+ years experience delivering 2-3 enterprise use cases
• 10+ years experience in a"data-driven" industry across business domains with experience delivering end-to-end technical solutions from use case design to technical implementation
• Nice to have:
• Full-stack development skills (e.g. an app powered by React + FastAPI + Postgres -- but we're not picky about the tech stack)
• Machine Learning experience
• Foreign language skills, especially Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish
Additional Skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• You write and speak clearly
• You can identify what matters for a non-technical user and succinctly explain what they need to know in terms that make sense to them
• e.g., an executive who needs to make a decision based on your input
• You proactively communicate about what you’re doing — this is habitual for you
• You can disagree and navigate conflict respectfully and in a manner that puts the team’s goals first
• High degree of autonomy (i.e., don’t wait for work to come to you)
• You're always learning new things. What was the last new technology you learned?
Travel
This role will require domestic and international travel for in-person trainings and periodic internal company events.
An in-person training typically lasts four days at the customer's office. This role is expected to cover in-person trainings primarily in the broader DC area, but occasional travel may be required to other places.
