Technical Operations Intern

Minitab is seeking an intern to join the Technical Operations department at our State College headquarters. This department includes desktop support technicians, network engineers, and cybersecurity engineers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log IT inventory

• Move and set up computer equipment in various offices

• Set up and relocate desks and computer furniture as needed

• Set up, transport, and test workstations, docking stations, monitors, and other equipment

• Provide limited support for desktops and laptops

• Troubleshoot and perform minor hardware repairs

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a program focused on Information Sciences and Technology or a related field

Essential Skills

• Strong written communication skills

• Ability to quickly learn new software applications

• Effective communication with all levels of management, co-workers, and external parties

• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills

• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be flexible

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English

Physical requirements: Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

MUST be available to work onsite at our Minitab Corporate Headquarters in State College, PA.

Remote work is not an option for this position.
