Cloud Engineer
Summary:
Responsible for interfacing directly with the product owner and solution teams, executing against approved architectures, and adhering to existing standards around security, automation, and quality. The most successful candidate likely has a strong software development background, an appetite to learn new technologies, and a proven track record of applying foundational elements of software design to new use cases.
Responsibilities:
Automate component implementation (IaC)
Execute Terraform build against approved architectures
Set up CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps) and Actions (GitHub)
Interface with all stakeholders from build start to go-live
Automate component implementation
Manage scope of build
Manage work against an Agile Scrum process
Skills
Microsoft Azure expertise (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS across Microsoft Azure cloud and the Microsoft technology stack)
Terraform expertise
Azure DevOps YAML pipelines experience
Git expertise
Containers / AKS experience
Linux (RHEL) is a plus
PowerShell DSC is a plus
Strong understanding of software development design concepts
Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
