We are looking for a Technical Market Development Manager to bridge the gap between advanced battery technology and market adoption. This role focuses on engaging early with customers, understanding real-world challenges in battery systems, and translating those insights into product strategy. You will work at the intersection of R&D, product development, and commercial teams to position innovative battery additive solutions effectively in the market.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with battery manufacturers, electrolyte companies, OEMs, and cell developers to build strong technical relationships
• Conduct in-depth discussions with R&D and engineering teams to understand performance gaps and application needs
• Identify and drive pilot programs, testing collaborations, and early adoption opportunities
• Translate customer insights into actionable inputs for internal R&D and product teams
• Support development of product specifications, use cases, and value propositions aligned with market needs
• Track industry trends across battery chemistries such as Li-ion, LFP, NMC, solid-state, and emerging technologies
• Monitor competitive landscape including additives, materials, and electrolyte innovations
• Develop technical marketing content including presentations, white papers, and product positioning materials
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy and support product launch readiness
• Provide ongoing market intelligence and strategic insights to leadership
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Strong academic background in electrochemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields
• 5–10 years of experience in battery technology, materials, or electrolyte systems
• Deep understanding of battery chemistry, performance metrics, and manufacturing processes
• Experience working with battery manufacturers or related ecosystem partners
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear market-driven strategies
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and commercial teams
• Analytical and curious mindset with a focus on emerging technologies and innovation
• Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to operate in early-stage product development environments
• Experience in technical sales, product management, or application engineering is an advantage
