Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide architectural direction and hands-on leadership for backend, API, and cloud-based solutions. The role involves designing scalable systems, guiding development teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with business and technical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own overall technical architecture and solution design
• Lead the design and development of scalable RESTful APIs
• Provide hands-on development using Python and AWS serverless services
• Design and implement event-driven architectures, including webhooks
• Define and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and technical documentation
• Ensure solutions adhere to security, performance, and scalability best practices
• Review code, mentor engineers, and enforce coding standards
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders

• Support integration of APIs with AI-enabled workflows where applicable

Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development
• Strong expertise in AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and S3
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs at scale
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and webhook implementations
• Proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger and API documentation standards
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI integration patterns
• Experience with cloud-native security and entitlement models
• Prior experience in data, finance, or research-driven platforms

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire engineering teams
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
