As a Technical Lead (Azure .NET), you will be part of the Azure & Cloud Solutions capability. You will work on client-facing projects, and you will contribute towards the strategic direction of this team.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of developers and technical leads, serving as a hands-on role model for coding standards and best practices.
• Workshop & Stakeholder Management: Facilitate technical workshops to capture requirements, map business processes, and present Azure architectures to internal and external stakeholders.
• Solution Design & Assurance: Create and review technical designs for cloud-native applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Government Standards Compliance: Oversee the delivery of projects in alignment with (UK) Government technology standards.
• Practice Development: Establish and refine development methodologies, including TDD, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Mentorship: Guide junior and senior team members, fostering their professional growth through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Technical Expertise

• Development: Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET.
• App Dev & Frontend: Experience with modern frameworks such as MAUI, Blazor or React.
• Azure Cloud: Extensive experience with Azure PaaS (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps) and cloud-native architectures.
• Data & Integration: Strong knowledge of SQL Server/Azure SQL and NoSQL environments like Cosmos DB.
• DevOps & ALM: Mastery of Git and Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• AI-First: Proficiency in leveraging GitHub Copilot and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to accelerate the software development lifecycle, coupled with experience architecting and developing Generative AI solutions.

Architecture & Principles

• Patterns: Deep understanding of Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Security: Solid grasp of cloud security architecture, including AAD, SSO, and federated security.
• Testing: Advanced experience with unit testing (xUnit/NUnit) and mocking frameworks.

Soft Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Ideally 8+ years in software development, with at least 4+ years focused on Azure cloud-native solutions.
• Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English, with the ability to be persuasive and assertive in consulting scenarios.
• Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications (such as AZ-204 or AZ-305) are highly desirable.
