The Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Technical Fit and Measurement Specialist to support our Product Development, Patternmaking and Production Teams, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of garment fit and construction from prototypes to final product.
You Will:
Review patterns in PAD and record key pattern measurements in the tech packs
Measure and review samples through all stages of development, through to production
Evaluate samples against tech packs, pattern measurements and target garment specs
Maintain a standardized measurement methodology across all sample stages to ensure consistency and reliable fit analysis
Identify and flag measurement discrepancies to help determine whether issues stem from pattern, cutting, sewing, or construction execution
Prepare clear measurements and construction findings ahead of fittings to support efficient decision-making
Communicate findings with Product Development, Production, Sewing, and Pattern teams
Work with patternmakers to ensure tech pack accuracy, including construction details and final graded specs
Coordinate with the Product Development and Production teams to discuss fit and construction ahead of garment fittings
Assist the patternmakers with fit changes, markers and grading as required
Reporting to the Production Director
You Have:
Minimum 3 years of post-educational experience in the garment industry, working with digital patterns and samples
Experience working with PAD is preferred
College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing
A strong understanding of key fit-sensitive points of measure by garment type and silhouette
The ability to prioritize critical measurements that directly impact fit, balance, and garment proportion
Familiarity with garment construction, ideally in women’s suiting and sportswear.
Excellent documentation habits, with the ability to build a clear fit history and issue-tracking record
Keen attention to detail
Sewing knowledge is an asset
Comfortable working across departments and managing timelines
Self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and action
