The Technical Director - Sports Assets at Qiddiya Investment Company is a pivotal role that focuses on the strategic design, development and project management of sports assets across our sports portfolio. This position is designed for an experienced professional with a robust background in sports facility design, construction, and operations. The Technical Director will take a leading role in the planning, execution, and oversight of sports-related projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technical direction and development of sports facilities and assets, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision and strategic goals.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and designers to create state-of-the-art sports venues.
• Oversee the planning, construction, and commissioning of sports facilities from inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with relevant sports codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction processes.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, including local and international sports federations, to ensure facilities meet operational requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ensure resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
• Establish and maintain best practices in sports asset management, focusing on safety, functionality, and sustainability.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on technical issues and project development.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports on performance and milestones.
• Foster innovation by staying current with the latest trends and technologies in sports facility design and management.
• Support the design and implementation of operational plans for sports activities and events.
• Review and approve design documents, technical specifications, and contractor submissions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in technical project management related to sports facilities and assets.
