What you’ll do:

As a Technical Director – Level Design, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing technical tools and processes related to Level Design.

• Define the technical direction for Level Design

• Set up production pipelines in collaboration with technical and creative teams

• Oversee and support project teams on technical aspects related to Level Design / World Building

• Contribute to writing technical documentation, particularly regarding tools and pipelines used

• Stay informed about new technical developments in the industry to anticipate changes and integrate them into projects

• Act as the main technical point of contact for teams, ensuring smooth communication between departments

What we are looking for:

Key skills for this position

Technical:

• Significant experience in technical Level Design

• Proficiency with multiple game engines (e.g., Unreal) and their Level Design tools

• In-depth knowledge of production pipelines and data management tools

• Strong understanding of technical and artistic constraints in Level Design

• Experience in performance optimization and technical debugging

• Ability to write clear and accessible technical documentation

Reliability & Ownership

• You understand project constraints and deliver within production timelines

• You are proactive and autonomous, managing your responsibilities end-to-end without constant supervision

Team Spirit & Mentoring

• You know how to give and receive feedback with peers and share best practices

Recruitment process

• Application review: our team will carefully review your application

• Initial screening (max. 30 min by phone): if your profile matches, you’ll have a first phone discussion to validate key points

• Interview 1 – Discovery (1 hour, video call): a discussion with a member of the recruitment team to get to know you better and assess the alignment of your background with our expectations

• Interview 2 – Technical (1 hour, video call): a more technical discussion with two team members to dive deeper and speak the same language

• A technical test step may be included to better understand your way of working and your technical sensitivity
