Technical Designer, Kids

Summary: IHL Group is looking for a passionate Technical Designer to join our Kids division! This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a leading company within the fashion industry.

IHL Group was established in 2007. Since it opened its doors, IHL Group has securely positioned itself as a recognized manufacturer and wholesaler with its North American and global presence across all major channels.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with design team to execute development tech packs

Create and manage tech packs throughout the development and production process.

Update measurements, and answer factory questions relating to specs

Correspond daily with factories overseas

Arrange and lead cross functional fit sessions.

Influence changes as needed to help ensure product fit and delivery goals can be
successfully achieved in bulk production.

Record fit session comments and ensure plan of action, making sure all sample statuses
are clearly understood by cross functional teams (production, sales, and design).

Qualifications:

5+ years technical kids experience within the industry.

Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)

Conduct clear and concise fit sessions (internally and with customer teams)

Strong understanding of garment engineering, factory operations, and realistic
timelines.

Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.

Proven ability to independently, consistently and appropriately manage risk at all stages
of product development.

Ability to manage and follow through with tasks from start to finish.

A trained eye for basic design aesthetic details.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Gmail, Google Calendar.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a plus.

Job Logistics

Location: New York, NY – Midtown West

Schedule: We are operating in-office Monday-Friday.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000
