Technical Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of data platform and application development solutions on Azure and AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience in managing cloud-based projects in the data and application space.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of data platform and application development solutions on Azure and AWS, ensuring successful project execution from initiation to completion.
• Manage and coordinate project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to delivery teams in Azure and AWS-based solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, workstreams, and resource allocation to deliver complex cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, clients, architects, and developers, to define project requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution and maintaining client satisfaction.
• Oversee the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and application architectures.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud governance, security, and compliance.
• Implement and drive agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure robust communication with clients, providing regular project updates, technical expertise, and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering skill development, innovation, and growth within the team.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), recommending improvements to enhance delivery capabilities.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Technical Delivery Manager or similar leadership role in delivering data platform and application development solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Deep technical knowledge and experience with cloud architectures (Azure and AWS), including services like AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, AWS S3, Azure Storage, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, ETL processes, and application development in cloud environments.
• Experience managing full project delivery cycles, from scoping and planning to execution and post-delivery support.
• Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex technical projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with cloud-native application development frameworks, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and serverless architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, compliance, and governance standards.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and mitigate risks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience leading client-facing conversations and internal team discussions.
• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and integrating them with cloud-based data platforms.
• Background in managing teams following DevSecOps principles to ensure security is integrated into the development process.
