Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant – ServiceNow with strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Integrations. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain robust CMDB architecture and enterprise-grade integrations.
This role is heavily focused (70–80%) on CMDB, ITOM (Discovery), and Integration capabilities, with exposure to ITSM and other modules as secondary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of CMDB architecture, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and scalability.
• Own and manage ServiceNow Discovery, including configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and Integration Hub, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
• Define and maintain CMDB data models, CIs, relationships, and reconciliation rules aligned with best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions focused on CMDB and integrations.
• Perform CMDB health checks, audits, and data normalization to ensure high data quality and compliance.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs) to support CMDB and integration use cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery, integrations, and CMDB data inconsistencies.
• Participate in client discussions, providing technical expertise specifically around CMDB strategy and integration architecture.
• Support ITSM and other modules (Service Portal, HAM, etc.) as secondary responsibilities when required.
• Work in Agile environments with active participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery cycles.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with active sprint participation and backlog grooming.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
• Strong expertise in:
• CMDB (mandatory)
• Discovery (mandatory)
• Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server, APIs) (mandatory)
• Good understanding of CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with Integration Hub, external system integrations, and API-based architecture.
• Working knowledge of ITSM and other modules (secondary focus).
• Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide APIs).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS – Discovery/CMDB preferred).
