OcCatalyst Consulting Group is Government Technology Services Vendor, headquartered in Chicago that has been servicing public sector clients for 35 years. We’re looking for a talented and driven Technical Business Analyst with a proactive mindset and technical experience to join our team and help our clients analyze their business processes and identify technology applications to address their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead discovery sessions with client stakeholders to gather business requirements and document current- and future-state processes
Develop detailed requirements, user stories, and mockups
Manage and refine the product backlog; lead grooming sessions and contribute to sprint planning
Support the Technical Lead by providing clarity for design, estimates, and development activities
Validate completed work through testing, writing test scripts, and coordinating client demos and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Assess reporting needs and ensure analytics requirements are captured in the solution design
Create and maintain key documentation, including requirements, personas, and training materials
Facilitate client training sessions and support deployment, data loading, and post-launch validation
Document activities and progress throughout all project phases to maintain transparency and alignment
Occasional travel to client sites (typically quarterly or less) for requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, or training session
What you’ll need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
3+ years professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role
3+ years working in a technical environmental in a strategic role
3+ years experience working for a consulting company
A proactive and inquisitive mindset
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate to non-technical staff
Strong facilitation and requirements gathering skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience working in the software development industry
Experience working in public sector, a plus
Experience defining requirements for Salesforce implementations, a plus
How we’ll set you up for success:
Salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 a year*
