Technical Business Analyst – Market Data Applications (IT) | Reference Data, Audit Support (f/m/d)

Join Axpo’s market data IT team to shape reliable and scalable data solutions. Help translate business needs into clear technical requirements, improve data quality and governance, and support our modern cloud application landscape.

What you will do:

Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and non- functional requirements for the Market Data System
Create and maintain functional/technical documentation, data flow diagrams, runbooks, and change logs
Lead and support internal/external audit initiatives: prepare evidence, explain system behavior, and document controls
Collaborate with Market Data Engineering, Application Support, Group IT, and Business Units to coordinate changes across environments
Drive remediation of data quality issues with root-cause analysis and follow-up actions
Support onboarding and enhancements for end-of-day and reference data feeds (price curves, reference data, delivery rules)

What you bring & who you are:

3+ years as a Business or Systems Analyst in IT, market data, data platforms, or financial/energy tech
Strong grasp of end-of-day/reference data workflows and licensing
Hands-on experience for data analysis with Excel (SQL is a plus); experience with Confluence, Jira, and BPMN/flowcharts
Familiarity with control environments and audit preparation (ICS-like), including evidence management; Ideally Power BI or other BI tools; basic Python
Experience with data catalogs/lineage and observability/logging (e.g., EBX, Splunk/Elastic, Grafana), cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS), and scheduling (Airflow)
Domain knowledge in energy/commodities (power, gas, carbon) or financial instruments is a big plus
You love to interact with different people across the company and bring analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, clear communication, and a delivery mindset
