Personal Development as a Co-op
Acturis believes that professional development is key to the co-op program. In this position, you will follow a clearly defined co-op path that recognises personal development and contribution to the company.
Acturis will support your development as a co-op with the following:
• You will receive structured targets, regular feedback and performance reviews
• Your team will deliver concentrated initial training and close mentoring, with daily support and weekly one to ones. Senior colleagues will also run training sessions to pass on industry experience and best professional practices
• You and your mentor will regularly review your co-op course requirements and how these should be fulfilled

The Position
As a Technical Business Analyst in our integration or risk capture team you will:
• Work in a team focused on insurance product implementations
• Help our Canadian clients understand the options and possibilities for how they can use the highly configurable and complex Acturis System
• Design and implement top quality new software solutions
• Solve challenging technical problems using a structured and logical approach
• Gather client requirements and turn these into detailed, unambiguous and accurate specifications
• Manage the build of sometimes complex implementations, and ensure this is done to specification
• Continuously monitor and improve all aspects of the Acturis System
Technical Business Analyst roles exist in teams across the business at Acturis. The roles differ in technical focus, more technical roles include developing solutions for various insurance products. Roles also differ in the amount of client-facing time, some roles involve a lot of interaction with our Canadian broker and insurer clients while others involve working closely with internal teams. At interview we will review your skill set and take into account any preferences you may have to identify the best fit role for you.
The co-op wage for this position is $20 per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation. This may increase for subsequent co-op terms.
