Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Associate to join our team, specializing in industrial automation and power systems. In this role, you will support engineering, implementation, and troubleshooting activities related to variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control systems, and broader industrial automation solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with power systems, strong analytical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical support to both internal teams and end users.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first-line technical support for industrial automation hardware and software
Diagnose and resolve equipment faults, VFD configuration issues, and field-level automation problems
Support both remote and on-site diagnostics as required
System Configuration & Commissioning
Assist with programming, commissioning, and startup of VFDs and motor control systems
Support installation and calibration of industrial electrical components
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and service reports
Document issue resolutions and develop technical guides for recurring problems
Contribute to engineering documentation and compliance reporting
Client & Project Support
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical sales teams to meet client requirements
Support solution design, proposals, and technical pre-sales activities
Ensure timely resolution of support cases and contribute to continuous service improvement
Product & Technology Expertise
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PFlex VFDs, PLC systems, and industrial Ethernet protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Modbus), as well as HMI technologies
Stay informed on industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging automation trends
Qualifications & Skills
National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in industrial automation, electrical systems, or VFD technologies
Hands-on experience with PFlex drives (e.g., 525, 753, 755) and motor control applications
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation tools, PLC programming, or industrial networking is advantageous
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams
Excellent communication and documentation skills
