Technical Artist (World of Warships: Legends)

Job Overview

Our Technical Art Team at Wargaming Belgrade is responsible for the creation and integration of various 3D content into the engine for World of Warships: Legends. We participate in the development of about five different event projects each year, giving everyone the opportunity to showcase their best qualities as an artist. Examples of our projects can be found at the following links: Azur Lane, Christmas and Black Friday.

Now, we’re looking for a Tech Artist who is ready to join our team and make an impact!

Reports to

Technical Art Team Lead

What will you do?

•
Creation of 3D content (environment, ship decor, weapons, and other assets)

•
Integration of content into our custom graphics engine

•
Support of content branches in testing

•
Communication with Game Designers, QA Specialists, and Programmers

What are we looking for?

•
2+ years of relevant experience

•
Low-poly hard-surface modeling skills (mesh, UV mapping, texturing)

•
Practical experience with Maya (or Blender), Photoshop, Substance Painter

•
Experience with version control systems

•
Ability to take ownership of content features

•
Experience with pipeline scripting and workflow optimization

•
Experience optimizing assets for performance and memory budgets

•
Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English knowledge

What additional skills will help you stand out?

•
Experience working with different platforms, including mobile, consoles, etc.

•
Programming and scripting skills (C++, Python, MEL)

•
Rigging, skinning, and animation skills

•
Experience with ZBrush or other digital sculpting tools

•
Level design experience
