Team Lead – Edge Platform (m/f/d) IoT Gateway!
Key Responsibilities
• System Image Ownership: Maintain and optimize the base Linux images (Yocto); focus on hardening the OS and ensuring seamless system-level updates rather than high-level application coding.
• IoT platform over Apps: Prioritize the health of our embedded container runtime and underlying firmware; your goal is to provide a rock-solid foundation that allows the gateway to function as a reliable IoT Platform
• System Integration: Lead the creation and maintenance of custom Yocto Linux distributions, ensuring a slim, secure, and optimized OS footprint.
• Hardware Interface: Oversee the implementation of Linux drivers for essential hardware interfaces, including GPIO, UART, I2C, and SPI.
• Connectivity & Security: Implement industry-standard security protocols, including 802.1x and Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), to ensure seamless and secure fleet deployment.
• Leadership: Drive the development and re- architecture and breakdown of C++ firmware into services
Key Deliverables and Accountabilities
• EdgeX Integration Strategy: Defining the blueprint for new device integration and data flow from the edge to backend systems.
• Architecture Documentation: Producing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for new solutions.
• Technical Standards: Establishing and enforcing best practices for development, particularly around Golang and Java microservices performance and reliability.
