What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Tech Lead Platform Engineer especialized in Python to join our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) team at the forefront of creating innovative solutions. You will play a critical role in building and refining our IDP capabilities, leveraging your extensive experience in back-end development, cloud engineering, and stakeholder collaboration to drive success across our organization

Location: 100% Remote ONLY in Spain

Main task and responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain our internal developer platform, harnessing cloud services (predominantly Azure and AWS) to provide scalable and resilient solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define clear requirements and execute a refined product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Use your mastery of Python to create robust back end and UI solutions, prioritising performance and user experience.
Leverage tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, etc. for cloud infrastructure and continuous delivery improvement.
Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, observability, and automation within a distributed technology environment.
Engage with stakeholders to analyse needs and deliver solutions that meet and exceed service-level expectations.

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you need:

Mastery in back-end development with Python.
In-depth knowledge of Internal Developer Platform architecture, with experience in platforms like Backstage.
Practical experience in cloud architecture with a focus on AWS and Azure.
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD, etc.
Familiarity with continuous delivery tools, such as ADO Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of distributed systems with proven performance, scalability, and resiliency expertise.
Experience working closely with stakeholders to perform requirements analysis and product backlog definition.
Agile delivery experience, including a comprehension of testing approaches like TDD.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help:

Previous experience in cloud-native platform solutions.
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
Exposure to self-healing infrastructure and automation techniques.
Keen interest in developer experience optimisation within an organisational context
