Tech Lead / Lead AI Engineer - WaveSix Labs (m/f/d)

What you'll do:
As a Tech Lead at WaveSix you'll combine product and technical expertise, bridging business needs with technical execution. Working closely with consultants and reporting to C-Level executives, you’ll transform complex AI capabilities into strategic business outcomes. You’ll build up and lead the Engineering team and the design and development of GenAI solutions, aligning business vision with technical feasibility to create impactful use cases across sectors.

• Guide Software Development: Oversee and mentor software development efforts, primarily in Python, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions
• Facilitate Workshops: Play a crucial role in organizing and delivering engaging workshops, particularly in GenAI, by explaining the technological capabilities vividly and tangible
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of the latest AI and GenAI trends to make informed architectural decisions that keep us at the cutting edge.

What you bring:
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Proven track record in AI product development of at least 2 years and a lead role in  software development of at least 5-7 years
• Expertise in bridging between business requirements and technical teams (engineers and data scientists)
• Strong track record in conceptualizing and building AI/GenAI solutions from scratch
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, technical projects
• Experience in conducting workshops for a business audience on technical topics
• Strong commitment to clean, maintainable code while balancing rapid development and efficient coding practices
• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical topics for diverse audiences
• Strong experience in Python, particularly with standard GenAI libraries (non-exhaustive): DSPy, LangGraph, PydanticAI, crewAI
• Experience in designing and managing scalable infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring robust system operations
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and C-level executives
• Proficiency in English and German: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages

Preferred Qualifications
• A degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field
• Experience in a fast-paced and/or entrepreneurial environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic company
