Job Summary

We are hiring for an innovative crypto wallet and payment network startup who are looking for a Tech Lead to oversee the development of our e-commerce marketplace and merchant integration and SDK products supporting the crypto wallet app. You will drive the technical strategy for a marketplace service, physical and digital merchant payment systems, and client facing SDKs, ensuring seamless crypto payment integration.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for the e-commerce marketplace and merchant integration products, focusing on crypto payments.

• Lead the selection and customization of a white label or prebuilt e-commerce platform to create a marketplace service within the app.

• Oversee development of merchant APIs, POS systems, and admin/developer/customer portals for crypto payments.

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers (full-stack, backend, mobile) across e-commerce and merchant projects.

• Collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g., merchants, developers) to align requirements with the platform.

• Ensure security and scalability of smart contract-based backend systems and payment flows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a tech lead or senior engineering role.

• Proven experience in e-commerce marketplace development and crypto payment integration.

• Expertise in full-stack development and modern tech stacks (e.g., Node.js, React, Solidity).

• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and crypto wallets (e.g., Hardhat, Foundry).

• Experience leading distributed teams, ideally in e-commerce or fintech.

• Ability to work in Hong Kong or Singapore (or travel periodically) and align with local time zones.

Preferred Skills

• Background in DeFi or crypto payment gateways, or similar full stack ecommerce development experience.

• Experience with marketplace platforms like Shopify or OpenCart, with a focus on crypto integration.

• Familiarity with React Native and mobile-first development environments.

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
