About the role:
As Head of Tech & Data, you will build and lead one of the most strategically important teams at LANCH. You own our entire technical infrastructure, our internal platforms (Partner Portal & LANCH OS), our data architecture, and the development of our AI‑driven tools. You ensure that we scale fast, stay technologically ahead, and that every team can make data‑driven decisions.

You work closely with the founders & C‑level, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and build a strong Tech team that combines speed, quality, and pragmatism.

What you will do:

• Lead the Tech & Data team and scale it strategically
• Own the company-wide Tech & Data strategy and make high-level tech decisions
• Define the product roadmap for Partner Portal & LANCH OS
• 50% hands-on: architecture, development, data, infra, reviews, tooling
• Coach junior developers and establish a strong engineering culture
• Own tech hiring (e.g., Data Engineer)
• Drive AI enablement and automation across teams

Tech Stack you will own:

• Backend: FastAPI, SQLModel/SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Data: BigQuery, dbt, SQL (BigQuery + PostgreSQL)
• Infrastructure: GCP, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions
• BI: Metabase
• AI: Langdock
• Automation: Zapier, n8n
• Version Control: GitHub

Outlook:

• 50/50 split between hands-on engineering and team leadership
• Support LANCH’s growth through new brand launches & international expansion
• Scale internal tools like LANCH OS across all departments
• Shape the future of a tech-driven food platform

About you:
• 6–10+ years of experience as Tech Lead, Head of Engineering, CTO, or similar
• Strong mix of strategic leadership and hands-on engineering expertise
• Deep knowledge in backend architecture, data models, infrastructure & modern web stacks
• Experience building and leading small, fast-paced engineering teams
• Strong product mindset: able to turn business needs into clear roadmaps
• Able to explain tech decisions clearly — from junior devs to C-level
• Highly data-driven, structured, and fluent in AI & automation tools
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Excited to shape the tech foundation of a hyper‑growth consumer company
