The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Teardown Engineer to support our Product Analysis & Teardown Lab located in Berkeley, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Enterprise Technology Office of the Boeing Technology Innovation business organization. Position Responsibilities Lead/participate in physical part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling Engage with leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces Performs various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience) Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Experience with optimal cost and how it enables programs to meet their affordability goals Work schedule flexibility to support international team members Experience working with McKinsey Cleansheet cost modeling software Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures, systems, interiors, manufacturing, avionics Cross functional experience working with global partners Experience with systems engineering; understanding the cost & design trades and current Boeing efforts in design practices, model-based engineering, and the digital thread Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget Travel: 10% Drug Free Workplace Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
