Teamlead QA Engineering (f/m/d)

To support our QA Engineering team we are searching for a Teamlead QA Engineering (f/m/d) to be based in our Barcelona office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Technical Vision & Strategy: Own the end-to-end test strategy across the entire test pyramid. You will create a cohesive quality vision for the consolidation of technology platforms and align the team to execute it.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, motivate, and grow a high-performing QA team. You’ll be responsible for professional development, fostering a culture of empathy, and maintaining high morale.
Hands-on Engineering: You won’t just delegate. You will be part of a sprint team and be active in the codebase, writing automation scripts, conducting rigorous code reviews, and setting the standard for technical excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary bridge between QA, Engineering, and Product. You will use your strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and ensure quality is a shared responsibility.
WHO YOU ARE
Proven Leadership: 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role, with a total of 8+ years of experience in QA/Testing.
Strong technical background: Solid hands-on experience designing, building, and scaling test automation frameworks for backend and frontend systems, ideally using tools like Playwright, Cypress and programming languages like Java/Javascript/Go.
CI/CD Mastery: Comfortable working with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the deployment pipeline within a microservices architecture.
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex technical test strategies from scratch.
Empathetic Communication: A balanced approach to leadership that weighs “soft skills” as heavily as technical output. You lead with empathy and clear communication.
