Within Engineering, the Search Radar Engineering Delivery team accounts for all engineering delivery activities for the development of our Search radar products and solutions: concept definition, system design, system integration, verification, validation and qualification. To strengthen our team, we are looking for Team Leader Work Package Manager Search Radar About the job We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated people manager to lead one of our team. You lead a team of WPMs (Work package Managers) professionals in a motivating and inspiring way. With your experience and knowledge, you are able to work closely with your team to secure our objectives, in a predictable way. In this role you are part of the search radar segment and reporting to the Engineering Manager Segment (EMS). Within this segment you will support the EMS in implementing and executing the engineering policy and providing the necessary means to improve project execution. You will be involved during project bids, launches and project reviews during execution where we expect active participation. Furthermore you will provide close support to the Head of Discipline (HoD) Engineering Delivery where you will help in defining, rolling out and enforcing tools, processes and practices across the various segments in order to safeguard a common way of working. In supporting the HoD Engineering Delivery you will also take part in the development and upkeep of the Process Roadmap and help in managing various improvement projects within the disciplines scope. You have a clear sense of how to leverage your personality and experience to bring out the best in others and yourself; You have good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail at different levels; You have a “can-do” and “why-not-this” mentality: entrepreneurial, flexible and open mindset; You have a relevant degree in one of the following subjects: electronics engineering, science, mathematics or science based subjects; Experience and a good understanding in Project Management and the Process; Experience in people management, team management and being able to understand the challenges a team of specialists is dealing with; Good interpersonal and good communication skills towards stakeholders; Willingness to challenge and eager to be challenged; You are fluent in Dutch and English.
