Garmin Golf is a comprehensive platform of devices and apps (including wearables, sensors, simulators and a mobile app), designed to help golfers improve their game, connect with others, and enjoy a more engaging golfing experience. Users can track scores, view scorecards, and gain insights into their performance.

Your role will be to lead the team to develop, design and implement specific requirements and technical problems in a product development environment.

Responsabilities:

• Align the team and individual goals with the objectives of the organization
• Actively leading the solution creation, effort estimation, development, and project implementation
• Evaluate workload, adjusting schedules and priorities as required to make sure deadlines are met
• Lead and mentor your team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to succeed
• Provide guidance and team coaching to the team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align development activities.
• Ensure efficient communication between teams.
• Track KPIs for your team and drive continuous process improvement.
• Evaluate performance and training needs for the team members
• Foster a learning organization, career development, and associate satisfaction
• Support team members, peers, and other Garmin associates by actively seeking feedback, building networks, sharing successes, tools and knowledge

Requirements:
• Experience with Android / iOS as mobile platform
• Proficient knowledge and utilization of engineering tools necessary for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description including experience necessary to develop complex software
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Experience with enterprise mobile applications
• Prior experience in an Agile environment
• Prior experience in serving as the lead software engineer for projects and teams
• Proven ability to manage complex software projects.
• Team Leading and mentoring experience for teams of 4+ people
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and translate technical challenges into business solutions.
• Adaptable, proactive and passionate about innovation.
• Focus on efficient time and resource management.
• English proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum of 7 years relevant experience

Nice to have:

• SwiftUI / Jetpack Compose experience
