Navitas is seeking a Team Leader, International Admissions & Compliance to join the Careers & Industry Division. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality international admissions and compliance services, ensuring regulatory adherence, operational efficiency, and a strong student and agent experience.
The Team Leader will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to Admissions Officers, while also managing complex cases, escalations, and process improvements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to uphold best practice across international admissions and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and support a team of International Admissions Officers to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
• Oversee the assessment and processing of international student applications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Manage and oversee the issuance of Confirmations of Enrolment (CoE) via PRISMS and related compliance reporting.
• Ensure applications are assessed against Genuine Student (GS), visa, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with the ESOS Act, National Code of Practice, and internal policies and procedures.
• Act as the escalation point for complex admissions and compliance matters, in partnership with senior leaders where required.
• Maintain oversight of student records in CRM systems (SalesForce, Navigate, StudyLink, Banner), ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Recruitment, Student Services, and Market teams to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
• Support training, onboarding, and ongoing capability development for admissions staff and relevant stakeholders including market managers.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, workflows, and compliance practices.
• Handle escalations in partnership with the Associate Director, International Admissions & Compliance
 
Our ideal candidate will have
• 2–3 years of experience in international admissions, preferably in higher education
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, or supervising staff in an admissions or compliance environment.
• Strong working knowledge of PRISMS, ESOS Act, National Code, and Australian student visa requirements.
• Experience using CRM and student management systems (SalesForceStudyLink and/or Banner preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex and sensitive compliance matters.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
