Join SDR Care as a Team Leader – Lead, Inspire, and Shape a Brand-New Service!
Salary: £15.25 per hour
Hours: 38 hours per week (Days) 30 hours on the floor and 8 off
Driving: Essential for community activities
Contract: Permanent, full time or part time
As a Team Leader at SDR, you’ll play a key role in a brand-new service, helping to shape and lead care from the ground up. You’ll oversee the support of a young individual with autism, a learning disability, ADD, and episodes of dysregulated behaviour, ensuring their transition into their new home is smooth, safe, and empowering.
This is more than a support role – as a Team Leader, you’ll mentor and guide your team, promote best practice, and make sure daily routines, activities, and community experiences are consistent, positive, and person-centred. Your leadership will set the tone for the service, helping your team deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a small team as a Team Leader, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support
Mentor, support, and develop team members, helping them build confidence and skills
Use positive behaviour support techniques to manage dysregulation effectively
Help establish structured daily routines, activities, and community outings
Work closely with management to maintain safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act principles, and best practice
Support the growth and success of this brand-new service
Who We’re Looking For
Experience supporting individuals with complex autism, learning disabilities, or dysregulated behaviour
Strong safeguarding knowledge, emotional resilience, and proven leadership skills
Calm, adaptable, and confident in challenging or high-need situations
Previous experience as a
Team Leader or in a senior/mentoring role in care
Positive, flexible approach with a sense of humour and a passion for helping a new service succeed
PSB experience
