The Impact You’ll Bring
As our Engineering Team Lead at Maxa, you will drive developer success and be the architect of our engineering culture. Your mission is to empower a team of developers through rigorous execution, proactive coaching, and clear direction.
You aren’t just managing tasks; you’ll dive into the action of backend logic and data pipelines when the team needs an extra set of hands.
This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys ambiguity, builds fast and efficiently, and has the experience to shape AI agentic workflows to elevate the team’s production delivery.
Here’s what a day can look like
Enforce high standards for code reviews, PR hygiene, and documentation in collaboration with the Architecture team.
Drive engineering excellence, productivity and speed, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to build long-term technical and organizational health
Lead, mentor and build a high-performing team of software developers through career development planning and coaching.
Drive strong production ownership practices, including observability and incident responses, with a mindset
Here’s what will qualify you for the role:
10+ years of professional software development experience, with an emphasis on enterprise data analytics.
5+ years of people management experience as a team lead or manager, managing the growth and career development of software developers.
Experience running agile delivery processes, with a strong sense for sprint planning, capacity management and backlog prioritization.
Comfort operating within a 0-1 environment where speed and ambiguity coexist.
Demonstrate a deep curiosity about emerging technologies and AI, actively leveraging them to elevate product experiences, sharpen decision-making and production delivery, and build the team knowledge.
Lead by example with a “player-coach” mentality and remain close to the action to guide critical technical decisions, lead design reviews, and provide steady guidance for production operations.
