Team Lead - IT Platform & Application Engineering (m/f/x)

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong technical background to lead our IT Platform & Application Engineering teams. This role combines hands-on technical involvement, strategic responsibility, and active people leadership in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Your mission:
You take on the technical and disciplinary leadership of two engineering teams (3 people each) and actively shape a culture of trust, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
You lead, coach, and develop your team members, supporting their professional growth while setting clear expectations and accountability
You work closely with department leadership to define and continuously evolve the strategic roadmap for our internal platform and application landscape.
You plan, manage, and take responsibility for technical projects from concept to successful completion, balancing quality, timelines, and budget while making pragmatic decisions even under pressure..
You actively drive the automation of our infrastructure, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code.
You support your team in designing, building, and operating scalable, robust, and user-friendly internal applications.
You remain hands-on where it adds value, especially in complex, critical, or escalated situations, and act as a technical sparring partner for your teams.
You act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders such as development teams, product management, or security, ensuring transparent communication and alignment across departments..
You coordinate and prioritize technical requests, manage expectations across stakeholders, and ensure your teams have the right conditions to work efficiently and sustainably.

Your profile:
You have successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Software Development, and have proven experience in a leadership role, such as Team Lead, Tech Lead, or a comparable position
Your technological home is Linux systems and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift). You are confident working with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and have experience designing CI/CD pipelines.
You embrace and promote agile ways of working (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and support your teams with a structured and methodical mindset.
As a leader, you combine empathy with clarity and decisiveness. You communicate openly, give and receive feedback constructively, and are comfortable addressing difficult topics.
A strong customer- and service orientated mindset is the foundation of your approach to successful IT work.
You have business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
