Job Description

Your mission:
• Provision of scientific and technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to achieve corporate goals in challenging research projects within early-stage biologics drug development
• Establishing and managing research projects as project scientist
• Developing, executing and optimizing protein production processes tailored for downstream applications (fit-for-purpose)
• Characterizing and evaluating drug candidates using state-of-the-art biochemical and biophysical methods
• Evaluating and implementing new technologies and equipment to drive continuous improvement of the biologics platform
• Preparing, reviewing and training on essential project documentation, including project plans, SOPs, technical reports and scientific presentations
• Presenting scientific results and communicating confidently with internal colleagues, external customers, and business partners

Your profile:
• PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the development of protein therapeutics in alignment with ICH Q10 guidelines
• Good acquaintance with transient protein expression in mammalian cell culture, purification process optimization and in-depth physicochemical characterization (i.e. using HPLC methods) of antibody-based candidates
• Experience with non-antibody based biologics as asset
• Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
• Significant experience in technical project management
• Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
