Team Lead Accounting (all genders)

What you will find with us:
To support our finance team in Hamburg, we are seeking an experienced accountant (all genders) with initial leadership experience to join us full-time as soon as possible. Your responsibilities will include the following:

• You will be responsible for the financial accounting of several companies and holdings, including subsidiary ledgers and asset accounting.
• You will independently handle the posting and reconciliation of bank and other real accounts, as well as intercompany settlements (reconciliations, interest payments).
• You will be responsible for preparing advance sales tax returns/ZM.
• You will lead a small team and provide support with professional questions. 
• You will be the contact person for tax advisors, tax authorities, and auditors.
• Your responsibilities will be rounded off by assisting with budget planning, forecasting, and cash flow determination.

Who you are:
Are you a whiz with numbers who gets excited about year-end audits and group accounting? Along with plenty of initiative and a strong can-do spirit, you also bring the following qualities to the table:
• You have a commercial training background and have successfully completed further education as a tax specialist or certified balance sheet accountant, a degree in business administration, or an equivalent qualification.
• You bring several years of hands-on experience in the accounting department of a multi-tier group.
• You’ve already gained some first experience leading small teams.
• You’re confident in closing processes – whether preparing monthly and annual financial statements for corporations on your own or handling group consolidations under HGB.
• You’re proficient in MS Office; experience with Datev and NetSuite is a plus.
• Excellent German and good English skills are a must-have.
• You stand out with your organizational talent, team spirit, and strong communication skills.
