Position Summary:

This course is intended for primary health care practitioners, planners, and researchers interested to learn about integrated and participatory approaches to knowledge translation and exchange (KTE) including, but not limited to, the global health context. In family medicine practice, iKTE can accelerate implementation of innovations and link practice-based research networks with policy. With primary health care under pressure almost everywhere, iKTE helps to ensure research includes the experience and knowledge of patients and health care practitioners and improves policy and care. 

The one-credit course covers principles and practice of integrated KTE; critical evaluation and integration of evidence from different sources for planners and policy makers; collecting and using evidence for accountability in health services; and communicating evidence for action to different audiences. The TA will support interaction with students online (asynchronous online sessions, online forums), organise and help to mark assignments, and help to facilitate two face-to-face classroom

Qualifications:

• Only Current Masters or Doctoral student registered at McGill are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistant. Preferably with training and experience in mixed methods research and reviews.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

• Preferably a master’s degree in a relevant health-related discipline (Ex. Public Health, Health Communication, etc.)

• A student who has previously taken FMED 615 is preferred.

NOTE: All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Summer 2026 term).
