Position Summary:
Position Summary: TA will assist in weekly cadaveric-based laboratory activities which consist of identifying anatomical structures using skeletal and pre-dissected cadaveric specimens (prosections). The TA will be required to actively participate in the cadaveric dissection component of ANAT 315, thus having prior dissection experience is an asset. Prior to each lab session, the TA will be responsible for familiarizing themselves on the content topics as well as answer questions from undergraduate course assistants. The TA is also responsible for the coordination of undergraduate course assistants, reinforcing the laboratory rules and code of conduct in the lab. The TA will be involved in the weekly laboratory instruction, working with groups of students to illustrate the gross anatomy of the musculoskeletal system at an undergraduate level. TA will assist in the setup, implementation, and grading of the course assessments. The TA, in liaison with the course instructor and Anatomy Lab support staff, is required to coordinate and assign duties to undergraduate course assistants. The TA will need to be available for at least one of  lab sections of the ANAT 315 course.

Qualifications:

Having taken and passed ANAT 315, or another course equivalent is required. Holding a past course assistant or TA position in ANAT 315/314 is a strong asset. Other prior teaching experience in dissection- or prosection-based cadaveric laboratories is an additional asset. The TA should demonstrate leadership skills when supervising undergraduate students and exhibit proven coordination and management skills. Prior study in gross anatomy related to musculoskeletal anatomy is required, including laboratory experience with cadaver specimens. Proven organizational skills with attention to details and accuracy.

Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential.
