Quick Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of CERN's national and international teacher program, ensuring the success of the program and the well-being of the employees.

Job Description

At CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.

You will build strong partnerships with scientists and educators, oversee programme evaluation, and support high-quality physics education worldwide.

You will join the Education section within the Education, Communications and Outreach Group (ECO). The Education section runs a broad portfolio of programmes for teachers and school students and conducts Physics Education Research to support evidence-informed programme design and evaluation.

Are you passionate about helping teachers bring particle physics into their classrooms? Are you an experienced physics educator, an excellent organiser, and a skilled education researcher? Join us as Teacher Programmes Manager!
