US Tax Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented US Tax Specialist to handle federal and state tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and identifying strategic tax-saving opportunities. This is a work-from-home role within a high-growth company that values culture and professional excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparation and review of simple to complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships or corporations, including federal, international, state and local tax returns
• Computation of estimated payment and extensions (1120, 1120s, 1065, 990, 1040, 1041)
• Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures
• Manage and maintain the client’s tax database
• Proficiency at tax research and determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits
• Ability to communicate with accounting as well to maintain deadlines and expectations of the clients
• Preparation of correspondence to clients for approval
• Updated of industry trends and changes related to taxes
• Recommendation additional products and services when applicable and appropriate

Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus!
• Enrolled Agent (EA) License is a plus
• 1-3 years of experience in public accounting focusing on taxation
• Knowledge in preparing income tax returns for corporations and individuals
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player- must be able to work effectively with a team
• Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates attention to details and good-record-keeping.
• Must have good working knowledge of MS Excel
