Role Summary:
Mondia is seeking a Tax Specialist to support the management of tax compliance and reporting for our entities. This is a technical role focused on ensuring all regional tax requirements are met accurately and on time. The scope is strictly focused on Corporate Tax, VAT, and Withholding Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Compliance: Prepare and oversee the timely filing of VAT, WHT, and Corporate Income Tax returns.
Cross-Border Transactions: Monitor withholding tax (WHT) on intercompany recharges and international payments, ensuring the correct application of Double Tax Treaties.
Tax Accounting: Prepare monthly tax reconciliations and assist in the calculation of tax provisions for the monthly management accounts.
Audit Support: Organize and maintain audit documentation. Assist the Group Tax Lead in preparing reconciliation schedules and technical responses for tax authority inspections.
E-Invoicing: Ensure all regional entities remain compliant with local e-invoicing and digital reporting mandates.
Research: Support the team with research on tax law changes across the regions and their potential impact on group operations.
Requirements:
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in a tax-specific role within an audit firm or a multinational environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax principles. Experience with the Egyptian Unified Tax Portal is essential; exposure to other regional tax portals is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Being enrolled in the ESA, CMA, or CPA is considered a significant advantage.
Attributes: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work toward a Senior role
