JOB STATUS: Temporary, Full time (40 hours)
LOCATION: Marshall, MN

Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in coordinating free tax services, supporting
amazing volunteers, and spreading the word about tax credits that can truly boost financial
stability for low-income families. It’s meaningful work that makes a big difference- one tax
return at a time!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Keep Sites Running Smoothly: Oversee daily tax-site operations, schedules, and onsite
support.
• Lead and Support Volunteers: Recruit, supervise, and assist in training volunteers while keeping communication flowing.
• Spread the Word: Promote free tax services through community partnerships and outreach.
• Build Community Connections: Engage local groups to recruit volunteers and reach
eligible taxpayers.
• Champion Tax Credits: Share tax-credit information and attend community events
to connect with taxpayers.
• Organize Outreach Efforts: Coordinate with the team to plan tax-credit outreach across
all counties.
• Track the Details: Collect and report volunteer data, outreach activities, and maintain organized documentation.

• Great at connecting with people from all backgrounds.
• Excellent at juggling priorities and staying on top of details.
• Flexible and ready to work some evenings and Saturdays during tax season.
• Clear, effective communicator - whether writing or speaking.
• Bonus points for experience with diverse communities or bilingual skills!
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and one to two years of related experience.
• Preferred: Experience with basic tax preparation.
