Tax Intern

Position:

We are looking to recruit a Tax Intern to be based out of the firm’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh office.

• Reports to: Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director
• Key external relationships: Vendors and local authorities
• Key internal relationships: Partners, Deputy MD, all staff of the Office
• Position type: Full Time, 6 months of internship
• Applicants eligible: Qualified candidates (Vietnamese speaking)
• Working Hour: Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
• Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Main duties of the role

Provide support and assistance to Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director with the following tasks:

• Provide administrative support relevant to client matters;
• Support in tax compliance and tax advisory work under the supervision of Tax Consultant/Tax Manager/Tax Director;
• Do research on tax regulations and precedents under the supervision of Tax Consultant/Tax Manager/Tax Director;
• Draft client correspondence under the supervision of Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director;
• Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:
Essential skills & proficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g. accounting, finance, economics, laws (having an accounting or finance background or qualifications in these fields is a plus point). Fresh graduates are welcomed.
• Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking and enjoy working with numbers as well as writing.
• Careful and detail oriented.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Good command of English and Vietnamese.
