Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing both for-profit and non-profit tax filings (990, 1120, 1065, etc.) for all entities of organizations, ensuring that all documents are filed timely and accurately (50%) communicate effectively with state and federal taxing agencies (15%), conduct research on tax theory and positions relating to and/or impacting the organization’s entities and effectively communicate the conclusions (25%) and other related tasks assignments (10%).
• Research tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific the organization’s needs.
• Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues in a proactive fashion.
3 + years relevant work experience required
Bachelors Degree required
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
CPA or MBA preferred
Experience working with tax software packages (CCH and/or BNA tax Research, GoSystems, etc.)
