Targeting Officer

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT TS/SCI with Polygraph clearances.

Core One seeks an experienced Targeting Officers (Levels 2 to 5) to support the US Government in the Northern Virginia area. The candidate will be responsible for supporting collection activities using and manipulating a variety of classified and open source databases. Candidates should have a strong record of achievement in the US intelligence community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- D​​​​​emonstrate proficiency in manipulating various classified and open source databases in support of the client's mandate to collect and acquire Foreign Intelligence.
- Collaborate with a team of intelligence professionals in support of operations against priority targets.
- Identify targeting leads to enable a variety of intelligence operations through the exploitation of classified and open source databases.
- Evaluate possible counterintelligence concerns, drive operations through written products and briefings, and empower core collectors by producing detailed targeting packages.
- Review operational traffic for intelligence leads.
- Draft comprehensive targeting packages in support of the client’s objectives.
- Engage operational components within the customer organization to address targeting requirements and develop new leads for operational exploitation.
- Conduct detailed searches on items of operational interest and relay pertinent data to relevant customer components.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience identifying valid threat targets across various mission AORs and conducting all-source target analysis using multiple tools and databases; minimum of one year experience with IC targeting tools.
- Ability to communicate results of targeting efforts in various message formats, including through the preparation of detailed targeting packages.
- Demonstrated experience with customer targeting.

DESIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in accounting, business, economics or finance (preferred) or demonstrate strong understanding of global finance through experience or knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience using customer messaging system (Required for Level 3 and above).
- Minimum of one year of experience working with foreign partners (Required for Level 3 and above).
- Minimum of one year of experience providing training or giving presentations to foreign partners (Required for Level 4).
