Tank Car Flux Core Welder (Evening Shift)
Location: Beaumont, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Evening Shift (Starting ~ 6:00 PM)
Pay: $20–$25/hr + $1.00/hr Evening Shift Differential
Openings: 5–7 Welders
Railcar welding experience strongly preferred
About the Role
We’re launching a new evening shift and are looking for experienced Tank Car Flux Core Welders who take pride in quality welds, safety, and teamwork. This role focuses heavily on FCAW welding on tank cars and rail equipment in an industrial environment.
If you’ve welded on railcars before—or come from heavy industrial welding and want to grow into rail—this is a strong opportunity to get in early on a new shift with room to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
Perform FCAW (Flux Core) welding on tank cars and rail equipment
Weld using SMAW and GMAW as required by job scope
Repair and fabricate steel components per drawings and work instructions
Conduct visual inspections of welds and completed work
Safely use grinders, torches, hoists, jacks, and pneumatic tools
Enter tank cars and work in confined spaces as required
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Document completed work and communicate issues to supervision
What We're Looking For
Required
Proven experience welding with FCAW in an industrial environment
Ability to read weld symbols, drawings, and work scopes
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (team lift up to 150 lbs)
Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in confined spaces
Willingness to work evening shift consistently
Preferred
Railcar or tank car welding experience
2+ years of industrial or structural welding experience
High School Diploma or GED
Familiarity with rail industry safety practices
Valid driver’s license
