Tampa Community Liaison - Community Kitchen
Position Overview
We're seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused professional to serve as our Tampa Community Liaison for the Community Kitchen (CK). In this full-time role, you'll be the primary ambassador for our mission, securing sustainable funding through diverse revenue streams while cultivating meaningful partnerships throughout the Tampa Bay area.
What You'll Do
External Relations & Fundraising (70%)
Represent the Community Kitchen as our lead ambassador to civic organizations, local government, philanthropists, and corporate partners throughout Tampa
Design and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve annual revenue goals through meal reimbursements, grants, individual giving, and corporate sponsorships
Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective supporters, moving them along the donor journey
Deliver compelling presentations about our mission and impact to diverse Tampa audiences
Partner Development (20%)
Scout and secure new feeding partner organizations across the Tampa Bay region
Lead negotiations for meal reimbursement agreements and partnership terms
Bridge connections between our Managing Chef and feeding partners for seamless service delivery
Track partner satisfaction and proactively resolve any challenges
Internal Collaboration (10%)
Maintain consistent presence at the Tampa Community Kitchen (minimum twice weekly)
Stay current on kitchen operations, capturing stories of impact and identifying opportunities
Partner with specialized support team members across grants, partnerships, donor relations, volunteers, and faith community outreach
Report regularly on fundraising momentum and partnership health

Demonstrated success in sales, fundraising, or business development with quantifiable results
Outstanding communication and public presentation abilities
Sharp negotiation skills with win-win mindset
Self-directed professional who thrives with autonomy
Genuine passion for addressing food insecurity in Tampa
Tampa Bay area resident with established local networks strongly preferred
Ideal Background
Nonprofit fundraising or social enterprise experience
Active relationships with Tampa business and civic leaders
Hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry knowledge
Grant writing capabilities
