About the role
Suncoast is looking for an Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and take a lead role in recruitment and core HR operations across Canada and the United States.
You will lead full-cycle recruitment, partner with hiring managers, ensure compliance across multiple provinces and states, and help shape consistent, efficient people processes as our teams grow. This is a great opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys both hands-on recruiting and contributing to the foundation of a growing HR department across both Suncoast Built and Suncoast Enclosures.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead full-cycle recruitment for roles across Canada and the U.S., including proactive sourcing (job boards, LinkedIn, direct outreach), screening, interview coordination, and managing candidate pipelines.
Partner with hiring managers to define needs, provide recruitment guidance, and keep hiring processes efficient and on track.
Support multi-jurisdiction HR operations and compliance for employees in multiple Canadian provinces and U.S. states.
Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding, including BambooHR setup, payroll coordination, and manager handoffs.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data consistency across systems.
Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, processes, and day-to-day questions.
Contribute to benefits administration, performance reviews, training tracking, and HR documentation.
Help develop, improve, and standardize HR and recruitment processes, including hiring workflows, onboarding, documentation, and overall people operations.
Identify opportunities for greater efficiency and bring forward practical solutions to help build a stronger, more scalable HR department.
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of progressive experience in HR, recruitment, or a combined HR Generalist / Talent Acquisition role.
Strong track record leading full-cycle recruitment and partnering directly with hiring managers.
Experience supporting U.S. recruitment, onboarding, or compliance is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of employment standards and compliance across multiple Canadian provinces.
Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (BambooHR is a strong asset) and applicant tracking systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and related software.
Solid knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local laws, rules, and regulations applicable to hiring, recruitment, and employment standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with candidates, employees, and managers at all levels.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Demonstrated customer service orientation, including strong rapport-building, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, growing company where processes continue to evolve.
