We are seeking a strategic and experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to do full-cycle recruitment across Australia and the wider APAC region. This person will be a trusted partner to Shield AI’s business and engineering hiring managers, driving critical hiring that enables our mission and expansion in the region. 

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the APAC talent landscape, thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and can operate independently while reporting directly up to our Global Director of Talent Acquisition and partner with our US based People Experience teams.

What You’ll Do :
Manage full-cycle recruitment across Shield AI’s APAC operations, ensuring a world-class candidate and hiring manager experience.  Partner with functional and regional leaders to define hiring needs and go-to-market recruiting strategies aligned with Shield AI’s mission.  Act as a trusted partner on all things talent; develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract exceptional talent across technical, operational, and leadership roles.  Partner with sourcing and coordination support as applicable and deliver a consistent, values-driven and positive hiring experience globally.  Partner with People Experience teams to ensure compliance with regional employment laws, data privacy standards, and company policies across APAC. Track key hiring metrics, providing reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement. 


What We’re Looking For :
Minimum 10 + years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within high-growth technology, aerospace, defense, or robotics companies.  Proven success hiring across the APAC markets and navigating regional differences in hiring practices and employment law.  Strong background in both technical (engineering, AI/ML, autonomy) and non-technical (operations, business, G&A) recruitment.  Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing through data-driven insights.  Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.  Deep understanding of talent mapping, proactive sourcing, and market intelligence.  Experience using Lever (or similar ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter.  Comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams.
