Systems Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role involves maintaining our infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the security and reliability of our network and server environment. The ideal candidate will need a strong understanding of Windows Server, Hyper V Server, SQL Server and network infrastructure and network hardware. The role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.

JOB SCOPE

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including system software, applicants, software, hardware, and configurations

• Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required

• Protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and other network and system problems

• Monitors system and network performance using.

• Monitors system and network performance.

• Designs, configures, and tests networks, systems, and operating system software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of IT experience.

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and network hardware.

• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.

• Ability to create accurate network/system diagrams and documentation for design and planning infrastructure systems.

• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.

• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.

• Oral and written communication skills.

• Extensive experience with Hyper-V, and Microsoft SQL.

• Administration experience of Windows server including Active directory, Group policy and DNS.

A background check and drug/substance screening are required after a conditional offer. Employment will proceed only upon receiving clear results from both.

ThreatLocker also conducts randomized drug and substance testing approximately every 60 days, in line with the same screening standards.
