Systems Engineer

Athena Cloud Limited is seeking dedicated and highly skilled Systems Engineers to join our dynamic team. As a leading provider of Sovereign Cloud, Sovereign AI, and Sovereign Data solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering highly secure solutions and innovative services that empower Governments and Enterprises to thrive in the digital landscape. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that support end-to-end high security information communication technologies deployments across data centres and countries.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and high-performance systems.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with systems administrators, engineers and architects to resolve complex problems.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for system improvements.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or have a proven track record of being passionate about technology via personal home labs and years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in cloud and native environments.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring tools and system performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Expert level skills in Linux, Kubernetes, Networks, Security, and/or Windows Server environments.
• Expert level skills with applications like SQL, NoSQL, Web Servers, Application Servers, Email Servers and other communication platforms.
