Systems Engineer (5049)

As Systems Engineer, you’ll apply systems engineering and analytical expertise to translate operational needs into integrated combat system solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints, collaborating across stakeholders to drive a common, extensible architecture. Evaluate multi‑domain combat system performance, develop analytical and visualization tools, and deliver clear technical documentation and briefings to inform leadership and sponsor decisions.

What you’ll do:

• Be skilled in administering system networks, and user accounts, with strong knowledge of DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SSH, SNMP, VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, and IP address management (IPAM).

• Demonstrate experience in DevSecOps environments (preferably using GitLab) with expertise in containerization, along with compliance, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

• Be proficient in replicating production-like environments to identify and resolve issues or stage upgrades as well as developing troubleshooting guides, end-user documentation, and mentoring team members.

• Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence with your active directory knowledge and skills.

• Creatively think out of the box to help with troubleshooting and support and provide innovative solutions that fit customers’ needs.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field.

• Active Secret Clearance

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.

• Certification meeting DoD 8140 requirements (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC, or similar.)

• Demonstrated experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $119,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience

• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs

• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation

• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:

• Performance-based bonuses

• Company-paid training and/or certifications

• Referral bonuses
